I Can't Wait

Well I was talking to my mom yesterday and we were talking about our annual campout.


EVERY year since I was fifteen we have always gone on a family campout. For the longest time it was just the six of us and we went down to Waveland. Well when my sister and I each met our future husbands they started coming with us. So that makes 9 ( my sister has a step-daughter for those that dont know)


Well a couple of years ago we found a new campground and we all really love there. One of the reasons was that year at waveland they had an infestation of snakes and I am not a snake person, so I was refusing to go. Right around the time we found out my mom and dad found Old Mill Run Park down near Thorntown. They have a lot of people that stay there year round in campers but they have a bunch of spots that are what they call " primative". Thats what we do. We all enjoy sleeping in tents and cooking over fires. And our attendance has expanded signifigantly since we first started.


Well I just wanted to give you an overview of what our Campout is like.


As I said I was talking to my mom and she told me that if everyone comes that we think is going to come there is going to be about 28 people including kids and adults. I know that is definately an expansion huh.

Mike when he realized I had the camera. If you are wondering why he was up the tree. Some of the kids were playing a game with some Bolos (or however you spell it) and one of them got stuck in the tree and mike was the only one that was tall enough to reach it. And it still took him almost an hour.
