I was sitting here trying to figure something out and I realized that I never wrote a blog on myspace about my trip to New York.
At the end od February April and I Hopped in the van (after lengthy planning, it wasnt spur of the moment) with our husband at 2 in the morning and left for new York. It was the second time that we had gone, the difference was the route we were taking. We decided it would be easier to stay in the city this time and trust me it really was easier. We got this great picture of the Manhattan skyline just before we entered the Lincoln Tunnel. That tunnel was COOL. William (Aprils husband) and I" were like this is cool" Mike (my husband) and April were both telling us to shut up because neither one of them like Tunnels.
We got into the city right around 3 in the afternoon. April and I had tickets to see RENT at 8 that evening so we walked around until about 5:45. We had to be at the Neder by 6 to see if we could win lotto tickets. Well guess what we won!!!!!! Well I should say that Mike won but that is ok. We got his tickets and he and william got ours. We got to sit second row center, right in front of Harley and Dec. :) This was the second time we had seen it on broadway. We were lucky enough to see it when Anthony Rapp and Adam Pascal has returned. By the end of the weekend our Broadway total was 4 times. Yes we saw it all 3 days that we were there. After each show we got to talk to Harley and Dec. They started expecting to see us. which was cool.
We saw the Statue of Liberty First thing friday morning. It was cold once that ferry started moving. But it was nice. We also saw Ellis Island though we didnt get off at either place because it was taking longer than we thought. We didnt plan our time as well as we thought.
Saturday we tried to go to the Museum of Natural History but there was a big subway fiasco and we didnt make it there, so where did we go? To Toys "R" Us of course. The had this GIANT ferris wheel in the store it was like 3 stories tall. And all of these structures made out of Legos.
We hated to leave but let me tell you getting out of New York City this time than it was to get out of the ENTIRE state of New Jersey the last time we were there. But the I guess the highlight of coming home was that it was 60 degrees here rather than the 30 degrees in New York.
I hope that everyone has a great day. It is supposed to storm here. So it will be an indoor day for me, but I guess I could get some sewing done.
